Meet Jesse Falk, DMD
Dr. Falk is board-certified and received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas School of Dental Medicine.
About Dr. Falk
Born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Dr. Falk graduated high school and completed 2 years of undergraduate training. Having married a Las Vegas native, he decided to complete his undergraduate degree in biology at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Dr. Falk cares deeply about his patients and wants everyone to have a great experience at his practice. In keeping with this philosophy, Dr. Falk will go above and beyond to ensure his patients feel safe and comfortable throughout their treatment.
Dr. Falk keeps up to date on the latest advancements in the field and has outfitted all Canyon Oral & Facial Surgery practices with the latest surgical and diagnostic equipment. Dr. Falk finds it personally rewarding to be able to help his patients smile again as he delivers professional, experienced, and trusted oral and cosmetic surgery services.
Education & Residency
Dr. Falk completed his undergraduate education from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and later earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas School of Dental Medicine.
After dental school, Dr. Falk completed a 4-year residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at both Loyola University Medical Center and Hines Veterans Administration Hospital in Chicago, Illinois, where he was Chief Resident. During his training in Chicago, he was exposed to a wide variety of procedures including the surgical removal of wisdom teeth, dental implant placement, bone grafting, intravenous (IV) sedation and general anesthesia, corrective jaw surgery, treatment of temporomandibular (TMJ) disorders including total joint replacement, oral and facial pathology, and facial trauma and reconstruction.
Certifications
Dr. Falk is board-certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (ABOMS) and is licensed to practice dentistry in Nevada as a specialist in oral and maxillofacial surgery. He is licensed to perform in-office general anesthesia and is a member of local, regional, and national societies. Dr. Falk regularly attends continuing education meetings for his specialties. He is an assistant professor at the UNLV School of Medicine, Department of Plastic Surgery and at the UNLV School of Dental Medicine.
Hobbies & Interests
When Dr. Falk is not perfecting smiles, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three boys. He is an active member in the community and enjoys outdoor activities, such as motorbiking, camping, fishing, and winter sports.
