Complete Your Smile
A dental implant is a popular long-term tooth replacement option that looks, functions, and feels like a natural tooth.
Board-certified oral surgeons Dr. Falk, Dr. Moody, and Dr. Yau specialize in tooth restorations with dental implants. If you would like to discuss your tooth replacement options with dental implants, talk to a friendly member of our staff to schedule a consultation.
Types of Implants We Offer
Our practice offers several types of implant-based tooth replacement solutions:
- Single tooth implants are a great option for people who only need to restore one tooth, or a few teeth.
- Immediate implants are placed immediately following a tooth extraction.
- All-on-4® treatment concept restores an entire upper or lower arch of teeth.
The Benefits of Dental Implants
Versatile
They can replace a single tooth or multiple teeth.
Preserves Bone
The implant post acts as an artificial tooth root, which stimulates bone growth to prevent bone loss in the jaw.
Looks Natural
The crown is custom-made to blend in with your smile.
Many Patients Are Eligible
Many patients are candidates for dental implants—even patients who were denied other tooth replacement solutions.
Dental Implant Surgery
Before your surgery, you will meet with one of our experienced oral surgeons, who will create a treatment plan specific to your needs. This first appointment allows your doctor to be able to discuss your smile goals, dental health, and perform a complete oral examination, including 3D scans of your teeth and jaws.
On the day of your surgical procedure, a member of our friendly staff will take you to one of our state-of-the-art surgical suites. We will administer the anesthesia, which was selected during the consultation.
Once the anesthesia has taken effect, your surgeon will place the implant post into the jaw bone. Over the next several weeks, this post will fuse with the jaw bone, which will create a sturdy foundation to support the implant. Sutures will be placed, and you will rest comfortably until the anesthesia has worn off.
We will provide pre- and post-operative instructions to ensure you have a smooth and successful recovery.
Types of Anesthesia
Canyon Oral & Facial Surgery offers several types of anesthesia and sedation.

Dental Implant FAQ
Can Anyone Get Dental Implants?
Many people are candidates for dental implants. Additional procedures, such as a bone graft, may be required before dental implant placement. Additionally, any periodontal disease will need to be treated beforehand. We will discuss your specific treatment plan during your consultation.
How Long Do Dental Implants Take to Heal?
Once the implant has been placed into the jaw bone, it will take several weeks for the titanium post to fuse with the bone. We will send you home with detailed instructions to ensure your implants heal successfully.
How Do I Care for Dental Implants?
Dental implants require minimal but consistent care: just brush, floss, and see your dentist for regular checkups. Just like natural teeth, good oral hygiene and dental care are key to long-term success with your implants.
How Much Do Dental Implants Cost?
We create customized treatment plans for every patient. To that end, the exact cost of treatment varies from patient to patient. Common factors that determine cost include the type of treatment, type of anesthesia, insurance, number of implants, and if any additional procedures are needed.
